PlayStation Move dated, priced and a sweet list of games

After the awesome Kevin Butler made his E3 debut and speech, it was time to get down to the business.  And this business was the information we wanted on the PlayStation Move. The Move, Sony’s motion control peripheral, is set to battle it out with Microsoft’s Kinect for a sweet slice of the motion control market this year and we have enough information to help you decide.  Here’s what you need to know:

The Move (pictured above) will hit retail shelves on September 19 of this year.  It will be priced at $49.99.  Not so bad, huh?

Okay, but then there’s the Navigation Controller (pictured above) which will also be needed for the Move.  This will cost an extra $29.99.

Last but not least, to get the full experience of Sony’s motion control experience, you may want to pick yourself up a PS Eye which costs somewhere around $35, depending on where you shop.  Seeing the picture now?

It will be a bit costly to own and fully enjoy Sony’s motion peripheral, but we also don’t know how much Microsoft plans on selling Kinect for so it may not be a bad deal.  Then again, if you want multiplayer fun with the Move, that’s going to add up to a whole lotta’ money.

If you want to ease your mind however, the initial list of games looks quite impressive and it seems that Sony is catering to all types of gamers.  That’s quite a good sign and it does give the Move and edge in gaming content.  At least we know it won’t simply be used to play non-essential, boring mini-games.
