MLB 2k10 million dollar winner

Remember this ad that ran not too long ago for MLB 2k10?

2K offered $1,000,000 to whoever could pitch a perfect game first.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

24-year-old Wade McGilberry from Alabama completely layed waste to the competition not long after the game was released.  And he did it in about ninety minutes.  2K, maybe full of themselves at the difficult challenge, were floored when they reviewed the tape and the time code at which it took place.  Funny thing is, 2K didn’t have an insurance policy on it (can you even do that?) and the money will be coming directly from their pockets.

“We’re very happy to give the money away,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “This was something innovative we dreamed up and we were really able to make some noise in the marketplace.”

Way to go dude!  Now if only they would offer this kind of competition in games that I actually like… like hockey?
