iPhone gets hacked at Pwn2Own contest

At the Pwn2Own hacking contest, two European dudes managed to hack into a completely patched iPhone.  With that, they were able to hijack the SMS database, even ones that were deleted!

The team of Vincenzo Iozzo and Ralf Philipp Weinmann managed to exploit a yet unknown vulnerability in the iPhone.  What they did was lure the iPhone onto a rigged website which cause the exploitation, they then managed to hijack the SMS all within 20 seconds.  20 seconds!

I guess those Apple folks shouldn’t feel too secured (like they tend to think they are at times).  But don’t worry, this exploit was just for a content and the results will be turned over to Apple so they can work on a fix for it.  Good job guys!
