Seven45 Studios to Release a Unique Music Game

Tired of Guitar Hero?  Well, Seven45 studios plans to change the game a bit.

The game will be called, Power Gig: Rise of the SixString and it will utilize a real 6-string guitar with some built in technology.

The guitar can be played as a real guitar plugged into an amplifier.  Once you slide a piece of plastic under the strings then it turns into a controller.  The difference here compared to music rhythm games of the past is that even though it does use a plastic piece with colored labels – you are still using the real strings to play.  While it still won’t be completely realistic, it does add a more unique experience.

Kotaku had the chance to view a live demonstration of it which you can read about here.

It looks like this could be a nice change in the over saturated music game market.

Power Gig will be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
